They deliver to Franktown, so they get a star just for that. Calzones are usually a safe bet. Everything else seems very hit and miss. Crust thickness and doughy quality varies. Raw dough means a promise of belly issues later. The cheese is always either barely melted or it looks like it's been under a heat light for hours. I've been afraid to order anything leafy off the menu so I can't speak to that. They get the second star for reducing cardboard waste from delivery food by delivering in paper bags. The third star is given for the handful of times it's been great, and a portion of that star is for them being willing to come out in the Weather all the way to Franktown.

I was very excited to try this new spot. I'm new to colorado and I am trying to find some good food spots . My family of five ordered dinner tonight and found two large pieces of hair in our two sandwich order's. Nothing like eating a few bites of your sandwich just to choke on hair!!! Gross.

Had a deep dish chicken pesto pizza and a regular meat lovers pizza. Both were good. What I really loved was the pizza dough! It's delicious!! The girl at the front counter knows NOTHING about the food! I asked about the deep dish and she said they don't have deep dish. Lol i said, "it's on your ad!" She turned and asked an older lady, and sure enough, there is deep dish. The pizza is overpriced. Even though the dough is fantastic, that's all that is unique. I love papa Murphy's dough, and a ton cheaper. It's yummy, but I won't return.

Lets start with the ambiance, and then Ill quickly get to the food. Do you know that feeling sitting in hospital waiting room, looking around at how boring and bland and lifeless it is? Thats what you can expect when you dine here. So just a heads up. You wont be admiring the architect, watching TV, discussing a funny picture on the wall. Come with someone to entertain you, cause theres nothing entertaining about the ambiance here. OK, now the food. Do you know that feeling sitting in a hospital waiting room, looking around at how boring and bland and lifeless it is? Well thats how your tastebuds will feel after you have tried this very uninspiring pizza. As so much of the food in Castle Rock goes, this is just a bad attempt at food that could be good. The crust is tastless, the toppings are minimal at best, not at all like you would get i Chicago or a good Chicago pizza place. The sauce tastes like its from a can. The cheese doesnt even taste right. I had high hopes for this place and it fell flat! Even the garlic knots/ bread thingys were tastless. Try it if you desire, but dont go in with high hopes.

Let me start by saying that I would give this business a little higher rating if it weren't for their terrible customer service, the pizza wasn't terrible. I ordered pizza today as my wife and I drove in to town. We were on our way back home from a funeral and were stopping to see some friends after an 8 hour drive. We called ahead and placed an order and it was ready when we got there. After we reached our destination we realized that the pizza that we were given was not the pizza that was ordered. We ordered a mushroom and meatball pizza And were given a pepperoni and sausage pizza. Normally I wouldn't have a problem with this but my pregnant wife was not able to eat it so I called in to let them know of their error. This was were I had the problems, I talked to the "manager" Tim who might possibly could have been the rudest person I have ever talked to on the phone. Not once did he ever apologize for the error. He said that they could make the correct pizza and I could come pick it up... But I just drove 8 hours and came by to pick pizza up already, I was definitely not in the mood to get back in the car so I asked if it could be delivered, I didn't think this was too much of a burden to ask since they do deliver pizzas. Tim immediately shut this down and told me that if I wanted the pizza that I ordered that I would have to come pick it up. This obviously upset me and I replied with a response of "so I am going to be inconvenienced now because you f***ed up?" Tim decided to hang up the phone me. HE HUNG UP ON ME, the customer who was given the wrong order. I'm not sure if this manager represents the service that is normally devoted at this restaurant, but if it does you should avoid this place like the plague.

3.5 Stars. My favorite part is the crust. My boyfriend says, "Better than average but not special."

I love this place because it delivers to my neighborhood (most pizza places wont). If I want pizza, we usually order from here. While it is pricey, the pizza is pretty darn good. I also enjoy their Caeser salads and wings. I would recommend this place over Papa Johns or Pizza hut for sure.

Very good pizza. Stopped in the other day because we're moving and what else do you get but pizza when you move? Pizza was ready quickly, nice crust, good toppings. Glad I'm moving in to the area and not out of, because I'll be stopping in again!

Nicolo's doesn't look like it gets enough good press on yelp, so I'm hoping to change that. What a great pie in the Rock! Deep dish, thin crust, whatever.. you name it, they make it well and FAST! I've yet to be disappointed with the service or quality at this place. Another bonus is that most of the pizzas come on a cardboard circle in a paper bag... much more convenient for disposing of the remnants. Keep up the good work!

Wife and I ordered takeout as we were driving home from Denver - thought I we would give Nicolos a try. Ordered a Calzone to share and some Jalapeno poppers - they did a great job with our pickiness - extra this, little of that kind of thing. Got home and threw it in the oven so we can get settled in.. 20 minutes later, comfy on the sofa and extremely pleased - great sauce - with all the extra pepperoni and extra cheese it was surprising not greasy at all.

15 minutes waiting on two slices during lunch time. not busy. burnt edges, bland and crust is like bisquick.

Best thick crust pizza ever. Lots of toppings, great crust and sauce. I will make this my new pizza joint.

Great little pizza joint! Not much in the way of entertainment, but food was great. Best pizza in town.

The pizza is outstanding, staff is great, and it even smells like a classic pizza joint when you walk in. I really loved it, just wish they had coke products!

Am I the only one who's been to Chicago? They claim to be Chicago Style but I moved to Castle Rock from Chicago I can't say I remember getting my pizzas in a bag. Also, I highly recommend the owners or staff go to Chicago and order a deep dish pizza. They clearly have no clue how to make one. The wings are standard, the bread sticks are bland. The service is presented by people how obviously don't want to work there.

A local restaurant serving great Chicago style Pizza in our neighborhood, also a home delivery service. If you bring the kiddos, bring extra change for the super ball pinball giveaway machine inside the front door. a MAJOR attraction for the younger set. They have a great high def TV on the wall in the dining room that is never on, they should consider at least playing music from it to give the dining area some ambiance. My 411 on Nicolo's, beer is cold and great pizza! The parking lot can be wicked to negotiate.

This location is the O.G. of Nicolo's and has gone through a lot of changes over the years. Within the last year this place has changed ownership again and I can definitely say it was for the better. The food tastes as good as ever. I worked at this restaurant as a teenager during it's golden years so I know the pizza better than anyone. The last two pizzas we've ordered for takeout have been amazing. The dough and sauce are made fresh daily and the cheese is amazing. It's good to see they still use the raw bulk sausage cooked by order instead of that pre-portioned/pre-cooked crap. I can't give them 5 stars as I grew up around the Chicago area and it's not quite as good as the real thing. If you've had bad experiences in the past give them another shot!

This place lives up to its negative reviews I took a chance tonight and wanted to try it out ughh big mistake! I order pizza for delivery and they did say it can take 45 mins to hr well the hr passed I called and ask where my pizza was and the girl put me on hold but I could hear her talking to the manger he said it hasn't been an hr it will be 20 mins just tell her it on it's way. She comes back and tells me it's on the way and I'm like really I could hear you and your manger no response or apology. Well pizza finally arrives delivery guy wouldn't even walk all the way to the door then put my soda in the snow and left it there. I tip him 2 bucks just to be the better person. Well time to taste well first off the pizza had a staple in it and was cold and look like it had been sitting out. By the way I live a minute away can we say ridiculous! Disgusted with food and service. First time and last time at this place.

Where do I start? Order was rung up wrong (overcharged by 3.00), Delivery came an hour after ordering and we live 5 minutes away, bags food delivered in were soggy with marinara, marinara was VERY watery, spaghetti was cold, sandwich was soggy, salad greens were wilted, and their food is overpriced ( for a small spaghetti, a sandwich and 2 small salads it was $30). I was thinking of calling the manager to let them know how bad it is, but I felt that letting unknowing potential customers know on yelp would be best. Don't waste your time and money on this place, it's a rip off.

Before moving to Castle Rock, I ate frequently at the Nicolo's near Capitol Hill in Denver. It was some of the best pizza I've ever had. Upon moving to Castle Rock, I was so excited to see that Castle Rock had it's very own Nicolo's location! Sadly, this pizza is nowhere near as good as what I was used to at the other Nicolo's. I've had pizza from the CR Nicolo's when they were in their old location (by the library) and also several times since they moved the Founders Village location. I keep hoping for the pizza to be better, but it just never is. The crust and sauce are very bland, and those are the most important parts of the pizza, in my opinion. I don't know what they are doing differently than the other Nicolo's but I wish they'd stop. It makes me sad to not be able to support a local pizza shop! I don't think the pizza is worth eating, in fact, and I almost *never* say that about pizza. For crying out loud, I'll even eat Totino's frozen pizza, so you KNOW the pizza has to be bad for me to not like it! However, I've had good sandwiches from this Nicolo's, so the other stuff on the menu might be quite tasty!

I really can't say anything about the food because we walked out before they even took our order. The restaurant was not even 1/4 full when we walked in on a Sunday night. It took at least 3 different wait staff to take our drink order. We ordered root beer and a beer. At least 15 minutes went by with out our drink order coming as well as no one took our Pizza order. I tried to give the first waitress the benefit of the doubt but after three people waiting on us with no satisfaction we were a little perplexed. Finally our beer and root beer came and we ordered our pizza. I asked, "how long it might take?" The waitress's answer was that there was several pizza orders ahead of us. I found the whole process a bit perplexing. I told her that we did not want to place our order and that we were very unhappy with the service and that we were leaving. We left. We are trying to eat at as many local places that we can in Castle Rock and this restaurant is a flat....don't bother going there.

Pizza is tasty but expensive. Staff is often grouchy and crabby. Prices changed at the restaurant but they never bothered to update the website and then yell at you when you point this out. They close way too early. But hey, it's close and when you find a BOGO coupon, it's a good place to grab some pizza. Recently discovered that the Lasanga on the menu is very good.

The pizza is great! Best pizza I've had aside from real authentic Chicago pizza in Chicago :) The service is always spot on. I've never had any issues with them. They're always friendly and right on beat.

They have GREAT signature pizzas as well as traditional pizzas. They are slightly more expensive than most pizza places but their pizza doesn't disappoint. If you're looking for good dough and sauce as well as really good toppings this place is the place to go. Ask about their Samurai pizza when you go as that pizza is VERY good, I thought I wouldn't like it but I LOVED it, that's one of the pizzas I get almost EVERY time. Definitely recommend!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
